Co-located with Cypress Gardens Retirement Community, handy for couples with individual accommodation and care needs.

At Cypress Gardens Aged Care Residence, we have the capacity to support up to 142 seniors. Surrounded by a safe and caring community, you will soon feel at home while receiving expert care.

Choose from premium or classic single rooms or classic companion, each with individual air conditioning for optimum comfort.

Our priority is to empower you to continue doing the things you love most and achieve the highest level of independence. Dedicated staff focus on your individual needs and specific requirements because we understand every person is unique.

Registered Nurses and Carers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while the emergency call system means help is never far away. The following services are available: a visiting GP, dentist, physiotherapy, podiatry, diversional therapy, speech therapy and pharmaceutical services.

Enjoy a five-star lifestyle at TriCare Cypress Gardens with freshly cooked meals approved by a Dietitian. Our in-house Chefs pride themselves on preparing a wide variety of home-made style meals that are both delicious and nutritious. The spacious dining room is a great meeting hub during mealtimes, while the alfresco areas with covered outdoor seating are popular for social gatherings.

The modern café serves barista coffee along with a wide selection of snacks to be enjoyed with family and friends. Our contemporary indoor lounges are a favourite choice for entertaining as floor-to-ceiling windows create a light-filled space.

Large modern rooms with exquisite bathrooms combined with quality workmanship create a superior lifestyle. Shopping is at your doorstep with the Carrara Markets located directly opposite our residence and the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is only a 7-minute drive.

Our purposely designed lifestyle program offers a range of multicultural activities, arts and crafts, quizzes, and gentle exercises, one-to-one time, to help you socialise and have fun.

An aged care home (sometimes known as a nursing home or residential aged care facility) provides residential accommodation with health care for seniors and frail who can no longer continue living in their own home.

The most common reasons can include illness, disability, loneliness, an emergency, as a result of increasing pressure on their carer, or because it is no longer possible to manage at home without help.

Residents in aged care homes get assistance with day-to-day tasks like meals, cleaning and laundry. Personal care like showering and going to the toilet, dressing and grooming and 24-hour nursing care from qualified nursing staff, including managing your medicines, continence care, treatment and care of wounds.

Many aged care homes also provide quite complex and specialised types of health and medical care, including dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation.

The Australian Government subsidises a range of aged care homes in Australia. This means affordable care and support services can be accessed by those who need it. The subsidies are paid directly to the aged care home.

The amount of funding that a home receives is based on:

an assessment of your care needs by the home (using a tool called the Aged Care Funding Instrument or ACFI)
how much you can afford to contribute to the cost of your care and accommodation (using an income and assets assessment) To get the funding, subsidised aged care homes have to meet Aged Care Quality Standards to ensure quality care and services are provided.

Yes. We provide a wide variety of activities including bingo, games, art & music therapy, news reading, exercises, Intergenerational music program with kids, outings, community visitors and church services. Family and friends are welcome to join in activities with residents.

In standard residential care, the Australian Government and Centrelink set a basic daily fee based on an individual assessment of a resident’s income and assets. Providers are bound by these determinations. A financial assessment of an individual’s circumstances will be conducted by Centrelink prior to (or shortly after) entry into a residential aged care facility. Additional fees and charges apply for extra service Residences, where residents are able to choose lifestyle extras and hotel-like services.
