At Pimpama Aged Care Residence, we have the capacity to support up to 122 seniors in a beautiful environment. We have a passion for seeing you live your best life while providing the highest standards of care.

Choose from classic single or companion rooms, some with an ensuite. All our rooms feature individual air conditioning to keep you comfortable throughout the seasons and a large screen TV and DVD player.

Our secure wing specialises in dementia support, and we also have Behaviour Management Specialists who are part of our Clinical Care team.

Relax, knowing Registered Nurses and Carers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The in-house emergency call system provides complete peace of mind.

A range of health services is available to maintain your health and wellbeing: physiotherapy, podiatry, diversional therapy, speech therapy, GPs and pharmaceutical services.

Pimpama Aged Care Residence features a homely décor and traditional furniture to create a cosy environment. The alfresco undercover areas with lounge-style seating are a popular choice to spend quality time with family and friends.

The picturesque Mirambeena Parklands are less than one kilometre from our peaceful residence. The nearby Pacific Motorway provides easy access in both southern and northern directions, while the Norfolk Village Shopping Centre is a short drive away.

Our in-house Chef delights in preparing healthy meals that meet your daily dietary needs and taste delicious. Our menus have plenty of variety, and only the freshest produce is sourced.

Our Lifestyle Coordinators run many lifestyle activities, including music and art therapy, garden therapy, pet therapy and exercise therapy. The local school is involved with our community programs.

An aged care home (sometimes known as a nursing home or residential aged care facility) provides residential accommodation with health care for seniors and frail who can no longer continue living in their own home.

The most common reasons can include illness, disability, loneliness, an emergency, as a result of increasing pressure on their carer, or because it is no longer possible to manage at home without help.

Residents in aged care homes get assistance with day-to-day tasks like meals, cleaning and laundry. Personal care like showering and going to the toilet, dressing and grooming and 24-hour nursing care from qualified nursing staff, including managing your medicines, continence care, treatment and care of wounds.

Many aged care homes also provide quite complex and specialised types of health and medical care, including dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation.

The Australian Government subsidises a range of aged care homes in Australia. This means affordable care and support services can be accessed by those who need it. The subsidies are paid directly to the aged care home.

The amount of funding that a home receives is based on:

an assessment of your care needs by the home (using a tool called the Aged Care Funding Instrument or ACFI)
how much you can afford to contribute to the cost of your care and accommodation (using an income and assets assessment) To get the funding, subsidised aged care homes have to meet Aged Care Quality Standards to ensure quality care and services are provided.

Yes. We provide a wide variety of activities including bingo, games, art & music therapy, news reading, exercises, Intergenerational music program with kids, outings, community visitors and church services. Family and friends are welcome to join in activities with residents.

In standard residential care, the Australian Government and Centrelink set a basic daily fee based on an individual assessment of a resident’s income and assets. Providers are bound by these determinations. A financial assessment of an individual’s circumstances will be conducted by Centrelink prior to (or shortly after) entry into a residential aged care facility. Additional fees and charges apply for extra service Residences, where residents are able to choose lifestyle extras and hotel-like services. The Department of Health documents provide more information on understanding aged care.
